🪙 Budgeting tips
Budgeting means planning how to use your money, so you have enough for the things you need and the things you’re saving for.
Budgeting can help you decide what to spend now and what to save for later.
You can think about your money in 3 groups:
Needs: things you need, like food or travel
Wants: things you choose to spend on, like games or cinema trips
Savings: money you’re putting aside for something later
Keep an eye on your spending
Go to your Home screen to see your balance on your card.
You can also check your activity to see money you’ve spent and money you’ve received.
Looking at your activity can help you understand how you spend.
Use Pots to save
Pots help you put money aside for specific things.
You can name your Pots, set a goal, and track your progress. Even small amounts can add up over time.
You can also set a Pot schedule, so money moves into a Pot automatically.
Lock a Pot
If you’re saving for something important, your parent or guardian can lock a Pot for you.
This can help if you don’t want to spend the money before you’re ready.
They can choose when it unlocks and when you can use the money.
Under 18s can’t lock or unlock Pots themselves.
