💰 Adding money
Your parent or guardian can add money to your account. They can also share a payment link if payment links are available for your account.
Under 18s accounts don’t have an IBAN, so you can’t receive bank transfers into this account.
Money from your parent or guardian
Your parent or guardian can:
Go to your card in their Monzo app.
Tap Add money or Move money.
Enter the amount.
Check the details and confirm.
They can also set up scheduled pocket money if they want to send you money automatically.
Money from family and friends
If the app shows Share payment link, your parent or guardian can share a payment link with family and friends.
They’ll need to:
Go to your card in their Monzo app.
Tap the three dots on your child’s card.
Go to Share payment link.
Follow the steps to share the link, reset it, or view the limit.
You can receive up to €250 every 30 days from payment links.
If the person sending money doesn’t have Monzo, they can send up to €100 in one payment.
If they bank with Monzo, they can send up to €250 in one payment. This uses your full €250 limit, so you won’t be able to receive any more money from payment links until 30 days have passed.
Bizum and bank transfers
Bizum, child bank transfers, payment requests and Monzo-to-Monzo payments aren’t available for under 18 accounts yet.
