💰 Adding money
Your parent or guardian can add money to your Under 18s account. They can also share a payment link with family and friends if payment links are available for your account.
Receiving bank transfers
From age 14, your parent or guardian can switch on payments for you.
Once they've given consent and you've completed your payments identity check, you'll get your own IBAN and BIC. You can then receive SEPA Standard and SEPA Instant euro payments from Spain and other countries in the SEPA area.
If you're under 14, payments haven't been switched on or your identity check hasn't passed, you won't have an IBAN and can't receive bank transfers.
Money from your parent or guardian
Your parent or guardian can:
Go to your card in their Monzo app.
Tap Add money or Move money.
Enter the amount.
Check the details and confirm.
They can also set up scheduled pocket money.
Money from family and friends
If Share payment link is available, your parent or guardian can share your link with family and friends.
You can receive up to €250 every 30 days through payment links. Someone without Monzo can send up to €100 in one payment, while a Monzo customer can send up to €250.
Bizum
From age 14, you can also send and receive money with Bizum once payments are switched on and you've activated Bizum separately using your Spanish mobile number.
Non-SEPA international payments and Direct Debits aren't available.
