Locking a savings account can help if you're saving for something important and don't want to spend the money yet.

Your parent or guardian can lock and unlock your savings accounts for you.

They can choose the date the savings account unlocks and when you can use the money.

Under 18s can't lock or unlock savings accounts themselves.

If a savings account is locked, you'll need to wait until it unlocks or ask your parent or guardian for help.
