I just signed up, can I add my card to Apple Pay or Google Pay before it arrives in the mail?

When you signup for a Monzo account, generally you can to add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay right away - even before the card arrives šŸ“±

To add your card to your phone's mobile wallet - you just need to tap the Card button on the homepage of your app and you should see a button labeled Add to Apple Pay or Add to Google Pay depending on the type of phone you have.

At the moment, while you can add your card to a mobile wallet before the physical card arrives - there is no way to see your full card number until you recieve the card itself in the mail.

ā„¹ļø While try our best to offer this option to as many customers as we possibly can - there are times where certain users may have to wait until their physical card arrives before they can add the card to their mobile wallet.

If you are having issues adding your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, it doesn't mean you have done anything wrong.

There are many reasons that, due to limitations on our side, we may not be able to offer certain new customers the ability to add their card to Apple Pay or Google Pay right away. If you are one of those customers, you will have to wait until the physical card arrives in the mail before you can spend with it.

If you are not able to add your card to your phone's wallet during signup - you will need to wait until the physical card arrives in the mail before you can get full access to your account.

That being said, we typically see that it only takes 4 days for a customer's first card to arrive šŸ“© So it shouldn't be too long before you can finish setting up your Monzo account!
