How to open a Monzo Account 🏦
You can get Monzo if you are over the age of 18 and a full-time US resident. That means being a citizen, green card holder, or eligible resident alien with full-time residence in the USA.
1. Sign up for our waitlist at monzo.com/usa 📝
We’re still in the early days of bringing Monzo to the US; however, we unlock customers from our waitlist every week, so you should never have to wait long to open an account.
2. Once you’re unlocked, we’ll send you everything you need to know to open your account 🔓
We’ll send you an email once you are off the waitlist. From there, you can download the Monzo app and set up an account in less than 10 minutes. We’ll then send your beautiful hot coral card out, which will arrive in about a week.
How to move your payments to your Monzo US account 💸
Once you’ve set up your Monzo account:
🔗 Link other accounts: Click “Add money” and “Linked account” to connect another account via Plaid for easy transfers
💸 Move your direct deposit: You can download our direct deposit form using this link or use your account and routing numbers under the “Manage” option on your feed to start receiving your paycheck in your Monzo account
🔌 Pay Bills: Use your account and routing number on the “Manage” tab to start paying bills with Monzo
☂️ Start saving for a rainy day: set up your first Pot
📱 Add your card to Apple or Google Pay: conveniently spend with your phone
